I am delighted to be Executive Headteacher at The Oldershaw School. A school that was inspected by Ofsted as recently as March 2022 and found by them to be Good in all areas. The school with over a hundred years of service to its community remains heavily oversubscribed and is also a first choice for many families who live outside of its natural catchment area.
At Oldershaw we aim to provide a learning environment that will enable all students to develop and become the best possible versions of themselves. We want all who attend, to become well rounded confident individuals who are well prepared for the next stages in their development. We want Oldershaw to be a happy place where students feel nurtured and supported to grow and succeed.
We want all students to achieve the best academic results possible, whilst receiving an education and set of learning experiences that also prepare them for life after Oldershaw. It is our hope that our students remember their time at Oldershaw fondly and come to realise that they were better educated here than if they had attended any other similar school. We set our standards high here and make no apology for doing so. We want all of our students to be in a position where their learning experiences at Oldershaw have improved their life opportunities, and we will not accept anything that provides an obstacle to that expectation.
