Our Careers Guidance Programme is designed to ensure that our pupils are informed, supported and inspired to be positive and ambitious about their future plans and are equipped with the knowledge, skills and qualifications they need to progress into further and higher education, apprenticeships or the world of work.

We are committed to ensuring that all of our pupils receive objective, independent guidance so that they can make informed decisions about their futures.

Our careers programme meets all of the Gatsby Benchmarks and we are proud to have been awarded the Quality in Careers Standard Award in 2022.

Mr Routledge manages, develops and maintains strong relationship with private businesses, universities and local apprenticeship and training providers to create opportunities to support the careers programme within the Oldershaw School.

We are delighted to be involved in the Wirral Pledge which will bring together businesses from across the region to the benefit of our pupils.

For detail of the delivery of the Careers Programme please see our dedicated pages for information for Students, Parents, Employers and Teachers.

Our careers programme is updated regularly throughout the school year, with a full review planned for 2024/25 academic year.

The careers programme is evaluated termly using the CEC Compass+ tool.
